Lacey King and Jeannette Boucher, Greater Naples Leadership Class III, have joined the ArtsNaples board of directors, and are helping to bring the world to Naples–one culture at a time. They and fellow board members are planning the inaugural ArtsNaples World Festival 2012 that is scheduled to take place next May 14-20 at locations throughout Naples. ArtsNaples World Festival will be held annually, and will feature the cultural arts of a different region of the world each year.
ArtsNaples World Festival 2012 focuses the spotlight on Russia. Festival Artistic Director William Noll, internationally acclaimed pianist and conductor, notes that Festival attendees will experience a spectacular array of performances including concerts by Russia’s St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, Russian ballet, opera, theatre, chamber music and jazz as well as exhibitions of Russian art and children’s costumes and toys. It is estimated that the week long festival will have an approximate $10 million economic impact on Collier County.
Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States of America, His Excellency Sergey I. Kislyak, is Honorary Chairman of ArtsNaples World Festival 2012. The Ambassador and his wife plan to be guests of honor at a gala black-tie dinner preceding the Festival opening event that will be chaired by Lacey King.
ArtsNaples World Festival 2012 presenting sponsor is the Moran Edwards Asset Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors.
ArtsNaples, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, is presenting the Festival in collaboration with other Collier County cultural arts organizations including Classic Chamber Concerts, Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples, Naples Botanical Garden, Naples International Film Festival, The Naples Players, Opera Naples and The von Liebig Art Center.
