Class XIII Growth Day - January 21, 2009 The day began with a bus ride to the Naples Municipal Airport. As the members slowly froze on the coldest day of the year in an unheated, immaculate aircraft hangar, they heard excellent presentations about the airport, an overview of Collier County issues and future prospects for the county. Class XIII Environment Day Masters Class XIII convened at the Conservancy on January 7 for Environment Day. After a panel discussion of threats to the Southwest Florida environment, the class divided for a boat ride/museum tour. Both were well done and of interest to the class. A panel discussion on climate change preceded lunch and then the class moved to Rookery Bay. The afternoon panel addressed the role of government in maintaining and enhancing the environment.
