We are using our cost-effective web-based technology to make sure you receive timely GNL news. You can scan the newsletter for a quick update or click where indicated to get more in-depth information. If you are traveling, you may wish to save this e-mail to read later on your home computer.
We have a lot of news this summer--from an expanded Masters Class and your new board to the Community Service Fair being planned for January and the many Alumni activities that begin in the fall. Class XII Welcomes 3 Members, Becomes 42
 Three new members have joined the Masters Program since the last newsletter was issued: Danny Tyler (left), sponsored by Tom Roets (Class IX); Neal Gilfand (right), sponsored by Sandy Parker (Class X); and Ira Sharp (below), sponsored by Alan Parker (Class VIII).  Ira Sharp replaced Terry Lynch who is moving out of state. Neal and Danny joined Class XII after the board voted to increase class size to 42 beginning this season. At 42 members, classes will graduate two class leaders and 10 equal teams of four as session leaders for the next class.

August 1 Deadline for Printed Directories
Information in the printed alumni and current class directories is derived directly from your online directory page. Make sure your online directory page is updated with your current e-mail address and other information. Click here for instructions to update your online "Member Profile Form."

Board Highlights The new GNL Board met May 14 and took action on many items:
- Voted to post the Bylaws, Board Operating Guidelines and Board Minutes on the website
- Undertook a two-step review of the ByLaws by Ann Berlam, Tom McCann and Kate Henry. Next will be a further review by an independent committee chaired by Rich Borchers, consisting of alumni from Class I, III, V, VII, IX and XI. The purpose of the review is to make certain that we are in compliance, that we have Bylaws appropriate to a larger organization and that we are as inclusive as possible
- Voted to increase class size to 42 effective with Class XII
- Voted to run a joint function with the Chamber of Commerce, led by Wayne Mullican
- Approved splitting the Kapnick Award between the Community Service Committee for the Fair and the Communications Committee for website enhancement

Save the Date
On January 15, 2008, GNL will host a major event at Edison College, a Community Service Fair with more than 100 nonprofit agencies invited to exhibit. There will also be breakout sessions, refreshments and even musical entertainment. To learn more about the Fair and how you can be a part of it, click here.

Alumni Programs
The Alumni Committee has a full schedule of events planned for the upcoming season, beginning with the Welcome Back Party at Grey Oaks Country Club and a November luncheon meeting with Collier County Sheriff Don Hunter. All Alumni luncheons will be held at Moorings Park, and Class XII members are invited to attend. Click here to download a schedule of the year's alumni sessions and events.

Renew Your Membership
Don't miss out on the Alumni programs this year. If you haven't already renewed your membership with a check made out to Greater Naples Leadership, Inc., for $125, be sure to do so now. Click here to download and print a form to send with your check to the GNL office. Those who renew by August 1 will be included in the 2007-08 Alumni Directory.

Taking the Lead in Immokalee

(left) and Tammie Nemecek, Economic Development Council President (right) at the grand opening and dedication of the new Isabel Collier Read Center of PACE in Immokalee. Pat chaired the Capital Campaign for the building that will now be able to serve up to 70 girls. Arlene Shapiro (Class IX) and Nancy White (Class X) serve with Pat on the board of PACE Center for Girls.

Class Camaraderie GNL has always been known for the friendships and respect members and alumni develop for each other, especially among their own classmates. Our Class Representatives help to foster this bonding, which includes the many class reunions that occur each year, such as the Class X reunion at Mediterra Beach Club in mid-April.
